Exploring like a tourist in my new neighborhood:
Afternoon walks and boring me-dates with a good book in quaint little restaurants.
I missed this.
Among many other things I’m missing these days.
Last day of #Blogworthy, Instagrammed.
Clockwise: (1) Lisa Frank + Byloz + Stabilo in swimsuit/corset form, (2) custom-made Blogworthy Idea Notebooks, (3) One of the coolest reasons why you should be my next intern, (4) My two minions without whom none of all of this would’ve been possible.
So many warm and fuzzy feelings. It feels like my heart is filled with confetti! xx

You intrigue me, stranger
Like a corner of my city left unexplored
Can I write you a letter?
I want to know what you stand for

MANILA: Windows to Intramuros
(Sneak peek! This is from the TBC Manila exhibition at Casa Manila, which opened yesterday. The works of these 7 international artists will be there until sometime in January, make sure to drop by.)
Whenever you’re passing by the EDSA-Magallanes area, southbound lane, make sure to keep an eye out for this huge, traffic-stopping mural called ‘Ganap’ by Sir Bogie Ruiz. It’s part of the Boysen Knoxout x MMDA EDSA public art project which was formally launched this morning.
The team believes that EDSA can also mean Everyone Deserves Safe Air — because the amazing thing is, they’re using the world’s first ever air-cleaning paint! (Created by a Filipina chemist — how’s that for Pinay pride. Represent!)
And even better news: this is just the first of 8 public murals which will be painted all over the whole stretch of EDSA. All 8 are designed by some pretty fantastic internationally-renowned artists.
It’s the ultimate win-win situation: we get cleaner air, and a more beautiful city :) I don’t know with you, but I’d take air-cleaning murals over disturbing billboards any day.
I’m doing a little video project with them as a saling kitkit — and the photos above are actually screencaps from the shots I filmed of Sir Bogie Ruiz and his team last week. I can only sincerely hope that whatever I make can do this incredible project some justice!

Today’s shoot adventure: Baked in the sun today as I checked out this project along EDSA.
This is Sir Bogie (Jose Tence Ruiz), whose work ‘Ganap’ is currently being translated into a 1,000 square meter mural along EDSA (near the Magallanes MRT station, south-bound side). And they’re using air-cleaning paint! YES, REALLY.
I filmed him and his 7 Boysen co-workers earlier - and as much as it was sweltering hot - inspiration and amazement rained down on me like it was June. (Thank you Sir Bogie for being so nice and accommodating, and for the Mister Siomai sago’t gulaman treat!)
I’ll be doing a feature video on them on my blog soon. It was all too brilliant not to document! And there will be 7 more of these incredible murals along the whole stretch of EDSA, in an effort to create air filters built in along the walls of the biggest thoroughfare in our city. YAY FOR MORE PUBLIC ART IN MANILA!
