Many times, you just have to let people surprise you.

Went out with my high school barkada last night — and while it was in the pretense of a glamorous fashion event (far from being our thing), there was this unspoken, underlying feeling that we got together for something else.

Spent the night sifting through our thoughts on risks and heartbreak — and fear of heartbreak, for that matter. It made me realize how incredibly emotionally-stunted my logical, cerebral, mind-over-heart self still is.

Main (surprising) takeaways from my big sisters: Don’t be afraid to rock the boat even if it pushes you out of what feels comfortable. And sometimes, you just have to let your curiosity take you where it may.
