Watercolor painting used to be my thing — my escape-into-my-own-world thing. Well, that, and reading, reading, reading.
When I got into digital design, I stopped doing it, though. Now, my painting confidence skills have been diluted to nothing.
These are some of my last works: When I was a kid, I would paint my notebook covers instead of just wrapping them in printed paper and plastic. Which, I’m aware, makes me quite the nerd. Point taken, yes.
// Some of my 6th grade notebooks, painted May 2000. Adapted from old storybooks.
These make me feel so unartistic but incredibly inspired at the same time. I’ve lost my watercolor mojo a long loooong time ago.

These little scenes have elements of ink drawing, watercolor painting, photography, and gold leafing. They will be in a series of approximately 2x3 inch paintings of my travels in Japan ( it will be smaller than the palm of your hand) bound in a tiny keepsake leather book/journal.
